While some may assume that the holiday season is not prime for buyers, there are definite advantages for both buying and selling during this time of the year.

Due to the misconception that the real estate market virtually shuts down for the holidays, serious home sellers and home buyers have the advantage of less competition (which also results in faster financial processing), a more efficient closing process as both sides are seeking to conclude the transaction prior to the conclusion of the tax year, and often less hassle with negotiations as again both sides are poised and ready to sign on the dotted line.
