What an exciting year 2016 has been for the Berg Larsen Group!
In January, in honor of Barry and Chad’s decade long business partnership, we launched our new and improved brand as the Berg Larsen Group, complete with a new logo and our powerful new website, www.BergLarsenGroup.com. This powerful search engine enables everyone to search new and active properties for sale throughout the entire state of Minnesota. Using of pre-set searches, buyers can search homes for sale in popular Twin Cities communities like Edina, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, Saint Paul and more. Of course, information on all of our professional services and team members are there too.
The 2016 Spring Market came fast and we hit the ground running! Working with buyers and sellers throughout the Twin Cities, our team of professionals remained busy working with clients in both preparing their sellers for the market and researching markets to determine best pricing strategy. In-between showings, we attended dozens of successful closings, maintained a rigorous mandated education, conducted team enrichment training, and so much more. Spring was, and traditionally is, very busy, just the way we like it!
Summer was very active-and the market reflected that. With housing inventory in high demand, buyers were out in full force. In certain price ranges homes were sold in multiple offers, above asking price and in near record time. We were barely able to keep houses on the market!
As July began so did our summer campaign, the ‘Dog Days of Summer’. Each year, in July and August, we donate $100 to a local animal rescue with each new listing we placed on the Twin Cities market. This year, our team was exceptional and raised $1,200 for Secondhand Hounds! We enjoy helping people, but as animal owners/lovers it brings us great pleasure to help our four-legged friends.
After a few visits to the state fair and getting the kids back in school, summer of 2016 was in the history books. And, business was strong. In September and October was our Fall campaign, “Giving Back to Those in Need”.We volunteered at Second Harvest Heartland labeling canned food for those in need and donated $100 to the organization with every new listing we placed on the Twin Cities market. Working diligently, our team placed 11 new listings on the market, raising a total of $1,100 for Second Harvest Heartland. Best of all, we donated to the organization on “Give to the Max Day” and our donation was doubled to $2,200!
Another tremendous highlight for the team: in October, our very own ‘Wonder Woman’ (a.k.a. sales agent Rebecca Peterson) closed on her 30th transaction--all while tending to her three wonderful children under five years old. What’s her secret? We wish we knew! She’s an absolute dynamo and we’re so grateful to have her and all of our hard working agents as a team!
Before we knew it, the final chapter of 2016 was here. It’s truly been a great year thanks to all of our wonderful clients. In 2016, we worked with 47 clients in helping them sell their homes. We were with them from the very beginning to the closing of their properties and transferring of keys to the new homeowner. We were along for the ride as our buyers expressed their initial desire to buy a new home, we toured multiple homes with them until we hit the nail on the head and found 69 new dream homes for our clients. With a total of 116 closed transactions in 2016, and 107 in 2015, we’re excited to see where 2017 can take us.
We’re in the business of trust relationships and 2016 has been a wonderful year of creating, building and developing new friendships with our clients. Thank you! It wouldn’t be possible without all of you.
