Spring Charity

Do you do your own house painting? 

I always have; I find it therapeutic and rewarding.  It is the easiest and least expensive thing you can do to change a room.  We purchased our home in September of last year and have slowly been painting our way through the house.  We finally made it to the loft, which is just a spiral staircase climb above the master bedroom this week. 

A surface I think is often overlooked is the ceiling.  Choosing a color, other than the standard white for the ceiling can help make the space feel warmer, pulled together and well designed.  Many of the walls in our home have been painted white, so we wanted to bring in some color to ensure it didn’t feel too cold.   The master bedroom has pine ceilings, so we wanted to select a…
