While times are definitely different, this does not mean that real estate activity has come to a halt. Real estate has been identified as an essential service and was exempted from the Stay at Home order. Even with the new Stay Safe order it is not back to business as usual. This unprecedented situation has caused inventory to shrink as well as some buyers to hit the pause button. However, deciding to move is a very personal choice, and for those buyers and sellers that choose to continue their real estate activity, the Berg Larsen Group has established enhanced listing and showing protocols to ensure everyone is adhering to CDC Guidelines and staying safe - continuing to deliver the highest level of customer service - throughout the entire real estate transaction.
The summer market is heating up! In a recent CNBC article "Weekly mortgage applications point to a remarkable recovery in home buying" dated, May 20, 2020, mortgage applications to purchase a home rose 6% last week from the previous week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. It feels like we may be seeing Spring market hitting in June-August. It is never too late. Interest rates are still at a very low rate which has attracted many buyers, giving them greater buying power. Inventory is starting to pop as folks peak their head out of their doors and are ready for a change. Are you ready?
