When Lindsay’s parents relocated to the Twin Cities years ago, they trusted the Berg Larsen Group to help them find the right home. And, when it was time for Lindsay and her husband to move to Minneapolis in 2020, her parents didn’t hesitate to make the introduction.

A Virtual Search, A Personal Connection

Buying remotely while preparing for the big medical school move, Lindsay and her husband turned to Barry’s expertise.

“We couldn’t tour the houses in person, so Barry toured them with my mom and used video to walk us through,” says Lindsay. “If he said, ‘I wouldn’t let my kids buy this’, we trusted him.”

With Barry’s guidance, they landed a charming Minneapolis home.

“We got a great deal on the house,” Lindsay shares. “We trusted him the whole way, and it was an incredibly smooth process.”

From Buyers to Sellers

A few years later, life brought a new chapter. Work opportunities across the country prompted their next phase - being first time home sellers.

“We reached out to Barry the last week of March and he provided very clear guidance,” says Lindsay.

To make the most of the spring market, Barry encouraged the couple to put their house up for sale within the next two weeks.

“It was a collaborative process,” says Lindsay. “We listened to his thoughtful recommendations and the reasoning behind them. It was a tight turnaround, but Barry has the level of experience where if he says we need to make it happen, we’re going to make it happen.”

Barry outlined a strategic roadmap: a “coming soon” teaser, followed by showings and an open house. Multiple offers poured in almost immediately.

“Barry suggested accepting best and final offers that Saturday afternoon,” explains Lindsay. “He understood the emotions involved for both sides and helped everyone feel respected and confident. His reputation among the buyers and their agents allowed people to feel more secure and submit stronger offers.”

Within two weeks, the house sold well above the asking price.

A Matchmaker and a Sage

Looking back, Lindsay describes Barry as “a consummate professional.”

“He takes his job very seriously and is professional at every junction,” says Lindsay. “He is prompt and accommodating, and he’s always our advocate.”

Across generations and major life transitions, Barry guides people towards what’s next. He was a matchmaker when they needed to find a home, and a sage when it was time to make their move.
