Realtor Barry Berg has sold this property six times in Minneapolis. Believe it or not, realtor Barry Berg has sold this Lake Harriet property SIX times.

The average American will move 11 times throughout his or her life. Those moves may be a relocation, a local shift into a larger home to raise a family, or a downsize from a large empty nest to a more manageable condo or townhouse.

No matter the reason, when it’s time to sell your house and find a new home, wouldn’t it be nice to work with the same group each time you move? That’s why clients come back to the Berg Larson Group over and over again.

One couple has worked with the Berg Larsen Group three times over the past 25 years, seeking support for moves from lakeside living, to a vibrant condo in the heart of downtown, to a larger home in the suburbs. The…

We certainly recognize that these are unique times. Your health and safety are our paramount concerns, followed closely by getting your home sold and closed. The Berg Larsen Group remains proactive in monitoring the state and local guidelines for best practices.

We know there are buyers who are out looking and need to find a place to live. We are not recommending taking homes off the market, but rather to stay the course and make the property available to those who want to see it.

(For those getting their home ready for market) For the time being, for the reasons mentioned above, we recommend allowing us to continue to list your home on MLS as we have been planning.

For showings on your home we recommend the following actions:

  • No open…

We recognize that these are increasingly challenging times for clients like who are actively looking to buy your next home. The tight inventory levels make it important to act when new real estate comes on the market. As the Twin Cities, and our nation, deal with the threat of COVID-19, our goal is to make this process as smooth as possible and to offer the following services to maintain your health, safety, and peace of mind:

  • Virtual Tours - We are happy to preview homes you're interested in by offering a virtual tour. Ask questions during a live video tour or we can send you a recording.
  • Email Notes and Seller's Disclosures - Often there are Seller’s disclosure documents and notes associated with the listing that are not available to…

Berg Larsen Group Successful Realtors in Minneapolis and Edina

Every Spring, the Berg Larsen Group works with an organization that is close to a team member and helps raise awareness and proceeds for them. This April and May, we will be donating $100 to Youth Frontiers with every new listing we put on the Twin Cities real estate market. Our team member, Kate Wall, was introduced to the organization four years ago from a client, Patty Beadle, board and staff member for Youth Frontiers. Having first been invited to an ethical leadership luncheon, Kate loved what she learned about the organization and was soon invited to be on the organizing committee for the ethical leadership lunch, an annual fundraiser.

Two years ago, Gary Anderson, a colleague of ours in the Coldwell Banker Burnet Minneapolis Lakes office, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), the most common form of dementia for people under 60. Due to the quick acting and debilitating disease, Gary was forced to retire early as a realtor.

Gary and Nanci Anderson with their Growing Family

This Spring, we invited Gary’s wife, Nanci, to join our sales team. Working full time as a vice president for a company and taking Gary’s former real estate business, Nanci is committed and hardworking (a Superwoman), both for her family and for our team. Needless to say, Gary’s diagnosis and progressive form of dementia was a shock to the family and has altered their lives radically. Nanci,…

Twin Cities Real Estate Market Insight

Barry Berg and Chad Larsen, and the Berg Larsen Group, with Coldwell Banker Burnet Real Estate, offer Real Estate Market Insight

The Spring Selling Season: Twin Cities Pending Home Sales

Signs of an early and active Spring real estate market.

Pending Sales in the Twin Cities metro real estate market are rising quickly, as they did this time last year. The bulk of the early uptick in Pending Sales have been in ranges that are showing improvement over past years, namely those homes in values over $500,000. Over the entire region, we are seeing the pace of Pended Sales in the $250-499K range (red) outpace those homes priced under $250,000 (blue).  This is a bit of a watershed moment. This shift is driven by the downward trend in the levels of inventory in this entry segment of the market. Note on the Homes for Sale chart that in…
