Giving Back to Our Parks

The beauty of Minnesota is its seasons, we have them all. Summers heat seems to be finer due to our cold, and sometimes harsh winters. The splendor of Fall is leaves changing to brilliant colors that stop us in our tracks and inspire us to go on long walks bundled in cozy sweaters. In Spring, when the chill of winter slowly departs and we venture out from our hibernation to take our activities outside as often as possible to our parks, playgrounds, lakes and trails.

This Spring, throughout April and May, as we celebrate the coming of green grass, the blooming of flowers and the warming of our lakes, we’re donating $100 for every new listing we put on the market to the local non-profit People for Parks.…

Dog Days of Summer | Success

We Raised $1,200 for Secondhand Hounds

In July and August, during our "Dog Days Of Summer" campaign, we donated $100 to Secondhand Hounds with every new listing. As animal lovers, our team worked diligently to raise awareness for this wonderful organization while assisting our clients in getting their house show ready and on the Twin Cities market. Needless to say, it was a great success and a wonderful opportunity to help Second Hand Hounds, where team member Krista is a volunteer.

Demystifying the MLS

As in all things Internet, when it comes to real estate there is good information and there is bad information. Some consumers are being misled into thinking they are looking at “the source” of all things real estate--the MLS.

We get the occasional call from our sellers and buyers, mild panic in their voices, asking why their home or the one they are searching for isn’t on the MLS. After we login to the database of our Regional Multiple Listing Service – NorthstarMLS, and conduct their same search, invariably we find the home they are searching for. What went awry?

They were searching the likes of Joe-Bob-Realtor.com, theMLSminnesota.com, or SuperCoolHomesMN.com (fictitious names to protect the innocent).
